Mental Health Awareness Week at Youth Horizons

We are really looking forward to supporting Mental Health Awareness Week, 21 – 27 September, here at Youth Horizons | Kia Puāwai. This year’s theme is Reimagine Wellbeing Together – He Tirohanga Anamata.

Our mental health and wellbeing is something we need to treasure and look after in order to be our best selves and lead a fulfilling life. When we have a strong sense of wellbeing, our whānau and communities also benefit.

Here at Youth Horizons | Kia Puāwai, we have a range of activities and initiatives planned for the week. Our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee will be leading daily karakia, sharing ideas around how we can best nurture and support our mental health and wellbeing. We also have a couple of ‘Exploring Your Wellbeing’ lunchbox sessions planned, which will use the Te Whare Tapa Whā, holistic wellbeing model, as a framework for exploring tools and ideas to support our own health and wellbeing, as well as those of our whānau and communities.
